Why Blindspace Concealment matters

Architectural glazing is designed to frame light, views, and space, but integrating shading into these refined structures requires planning long before the finishes go on.

Blindspace concealment boxes allow blinds to disappear entirely when installed during a projects first fix stage.  This protects the clean geometry of windows, roof lanterns, skylights, sliding and bi‑fold doors, and even complex gable shapes.

This is about more than hiding a blind. It’s about preserving the purity of the architecture and ensuring nothing interrupts the intent behind your glazing.

When blinds are concealed from the start, the glazing remains the hero.  This delivers comfort, control, and privacy without adding visual clutter.

Whether you’re coordinating with architects during early design or glazing has already been designed, the concealment strategy must align perfectly with the glazing system to achieve a seamless result.

Our approach is built on precision and respect for the architecture.  Concealed shading only succeeds when every detail works in harmony.

Blindpace Heritage

Blindspace® was created with a single purpose: to let architecture remain pure, uninterrupted, and beautifully resolved. By concealing blinds and screens within the structure itself, Blindspace removes visual clutter and preserves the clean lines architects work so hard to achieve. Every profile reflects precision engineering and a commitment to minimalism, allowing comfort and technology to appear only when needed and disappear completely when they’re not.

Blindspace is a concealed aluminium pocket system installed during first fix, allowing blinds and screens to disappear completely into the structure for a clean, minimalist finish.

Blindspace was founded on the belief that great architecture should never be compromised by visible hardware. Their systems protect clean lines, preserve glazing intent, and deliver comfort without visual clutter.

Yes. Blindspace profiles are engineered for wide openings and can conceal blinds spanning several metres while maintaining perfect alignment.

Yes. Systems such as Athena, Twin Athena, and Hercules are designed specifically for roof glazing and retract fully into Blindspace pockets.

Yes. Angulae Standard and Angulae XL systems allow blinds for gables and angled glazing to retract into shaped Blindspace profiles.

ZoomTech Deflect Zero is an advanced tube technology that prevents sagging across wide spans. It allows blinds to use smaller fabric tubes and therefore slimmer Blindspace boxes which is ideal for minimalist designs.

It should be considered at the same time your considering the glazing systems.  Installed at first fix, before plasterboard. This ensures the pocket becomes part of the building fabric.

Sometimes but it’s not ideal as it will require building works to construct the necessary space required. New builds and major renovations offer the best results.

Yes. Blindspace is motor‑agnostic and works with Somfy, Loxone, QMotion, and most home‑automation ecosystems.

  • Standard profiles: approx. 2 weeks

  • Custom profiles: 5–6 weeks (manufactured in Sweden)

Blindspace is the benchmark for minimalism.  However the patented hinged technology is optional and blinds will fit in the equivalent space created without the boxes.
