Great architecture deserves uninterrupted sightlines. Windows that frame the landscape. Glazing that becomes the feature, not the clutter around it.
Blindspace concealment boxes make this possible. Shading that disappears into the structure, leaving nothing but pure, uninterrupted design.
Whether you’re planning a new build or refining a renovation, concealed blinds allow you to enjoy comfort, privacy, and light control without compromising the architecture. When integrated at first‑fix stage, the blind pockets vanish into the ceiling or wall, ready to reveal perfectly engineered blinds only when needed.
Invisible when you don’t need them. Essential when you do.
Different windows demand different solutions. The Blindspace range ensures every aperture, from small bedroom windows to expansive sliding doors, can house a fully concealed blind system.
S100 x 100 – For Smaller Windows
A compact pocket designed for everyday openings. Typically houses blinds up to 2.2m wide x 2.2m drop while maintaining a clean, minimal aesthetic.
S130 x 130 – For Larger Windows & Doors
More generous proportions for bigger spans. Ideal for blinds up to 2.4m wide x 3m drop, perfect for patio doors, tall glazing, and feature windows.
C135 x 190 – Dual Blinds for Day & Night
A deeper, dual‑compartment pocket for two blinds in one opening. Commonly a blackout blind paired with a sheer. Engineered for blinds up to 2.4m wide x 3m drop in both fabrics, offering total flexibility from morning light to full privacy.
S130 × 130 – For Zipped Blackout Performance
A deeper, more robust pocket engineered for blackout‑grade shading. Designed to house zipped electric blackout blinds up to 2.5 m wide × 2.4 m tall, it pairs with S130 × 50 side channels to ensure smooth travel, light‑seal integrity, and a refined, built‑in aesthetic.
Concealment isn’t just a detail. It’s a design philosophy. By integrating Blindspace boxes during first fix, homeowners and architects achieve:
Clean, uninterrupted lines
Glazing that remains the star of the show
Blinds that appear only when required
A future‑proofed home ready for smart shading
The result is a space where comfort and clarity co-exist.
Some openings exceed typical blind parameters. For wider spans or taller drops, fabric tubes can deflect in the centre, creating the unwanted V‑effect.
That’s where ZoomTech engineering, known within WindowTreat as Deflect Zero, comes in.
This advanced system allows smaller‑diameter tubes to remain perfectly straight, even at large widths.
This ensures:
No sag
No distortion
No compromise on fabric tension
A flawless visual finish every time
Deflect Zero unlocks concealed blinds for architectural glazing once considered too large for traditional systems.
Whether you’re crafting a contemporary new build or elevating a renovation, Blindspace gives you the freedom to design without visual clutter. Integrated shading that protects comfort, privacy, and the purity of your architecture.
Blindspace Heritage
Blindspace pioneered the concept of fully concealed blind pockets, transforming how architects and homeowners integrate shading into modern buildings. Since their inception, Blindspace systems have been trusted worldwide to protect clean lines, preserve architectural intent, and ensure glazing remains the hero of the home.
Today, Blindspace pockets are found in projects ranging from contemporary homes to landmark developments, quietly doing their job, hidden in plain sight. Their concealed boxes represent the very best of that heritage: precision‑engineered aluminium, seamless integration, and shading that disappears until the moment you need it.
Blindspace is a concealed pocket system installed during first fix, allowing blinds to disappear completely into the structure. When retracted, the blinds are invisible; when deployed, they deliver precise comfort, privacy, and light control without disrupting clean architectural lines.
Blindspace is installed at first fix, before plasterboard. This ensures the pocket becomes part of the building fabric and disappears seamlessly into the ceiling or wall.
It depends on the size and function of the window:
S100 x 100 — Ideal for smaller windows. Typically houses blinds up to 2m x 2.5m.
S130 x 130 — Designed for larger windows and doors. Suitable for blinds up to 2.4m x 3m.
C135 x 190 — For dual blinds (e.g., blackout + sheer) up to 2.4m x 3m each.
If your opening exceeds these parameters, you may require ZoomTech / Deflect Zero engineering to prevent tube deflection.
Each Blindspace pocket is crafted from precision‑engineered, powder‑coated aluminium.
Blindspace pockets are manufactured in lengths up to 6 metres, providing seamless concealment for most residential and architectural openings. For projects requiring longer spans, profiles can be cleanly joined together on site to create a continuous concealed pocket with no visual interruption once installed.
For ease of handling and transportation, profiles may also be supplied in shorter sections, ready to be aligned and fixed into place during first‑fix installation.
Yes. Blindspace pockets are designed with future access in mind. The cover plate can be removed discreetly, allowing installers to reach the blind, motor, and wiring without disturbing the surrounding ceiling or wall. This means servicing, repairs, or blind replacement can be carried out cleanly and efficiently, even years after installation.
The system is built not just to disappear, but to remain fully maintainable for the life of the home.
Yes. Blindspace box covers can be painted after installation, allowing them to blend seamlessly into the surrounding ceiling or wall. Or they can be powder coated on order.
I’m afraid so, yes. Blindspace is a premium architectural product. The RRP for the supply of a standard box starts at just over £210 plus VAT per metre. This reflects the engineering, powder‑coated aluminium construction, and patented hinge cover.
However, pricing can often be more favourable when Blindspace is supplied as part of a full project, especially when paired with electric blinds. Bundling the system typically reduces overall cost and ensures perfect compatibility between the concealment box, motor, and blind hardware.
Standard Blindspace boxes typically have a lead time of around 2 working weeks, making them quick to integrate into most build schedules.
For custom‑sized boxes, allow approximately 4 weeks, as these are manufactured to project‑specific dimensions.
If you require a bespoke powder‑coated finish, add an additional 2 weeks to the lead time to allow for specialist coating and curing.
It all comes down to the design which is why its important to plan ahead. The box needs to be housed in 18mm ply ideally to give good fixing points and it will also depend on how far the window starts from the ceiling height.
Almost any roller blind fabric can be used such as blackout, dimout, sheer, screen, or specialist fabrics. Dual‑blind setups allow you to combine two fabric types in one opening.
Other fabrics such as pleated our possible too.
