Harmonia Heritage
Harmonia ZIP technology was born from a simple idea: stop the sun’s heat before it reaches the glass. Over the years, that idea evolved into one of the most advanced external shading systems available today, combining precision engineering, wind‑tight performance, and beautifully tensioned fabrics that stand the test of time.
As homes embraced larger glazing and higher standards of comfort, Harmonia screens grew with them, introducing solar‑powered operation for energy‑neutral living and ZIP‑guided stability for year‑round reliability. Today, Harmonia represents the very best of that heritage: ecological sun protection, effortless automation, and a clean architectural finish that enhances every window it touches.
It’s a legacy built on innovation, refined for modern living, and designed to bring lasting comfort to your home.
A Harmonia ZIP screen is an external shading system mounted on the outside of your window to block solar heat before it reaches the glass. It works similarly to a roller blind but with a sleeker, more architectural design. The fabric runs down guided side channels, staying perfectly aligned and tensioned.
The ZIP mechanism locks the fabric into the side channels, preventing it from flapping or blowing out even in stronger winds up to 30mph. This ensures long-term tension and durability. Wind sensors can be introduced to help retract the blinds in excessive wind conditions.
They stop solar radiation before it reaches the glass, dramatically reducing heat gain. This keeps interiors cooler, reduces glare, and lowers reliance on air conditioning.
Yes. The 110mm Headbox version is compatible with an integrated solar panel and rechargeable battery to power the motor. It can cover up to 4m wide by up to 3m high windows.
Yes. Harmonia screens integrate with modern smart home platforms, allowing app control, voice control, and automation.
Yes. Optional sensors can deploy or retract the screens automatically based on sunlight, wind, temperature, rain, or time of day.
Harmonia Zipped Screens are long term solutions in home comfort rather than a quick fix. Lead times can be up to 10 weeks from order to installation.
Yes the 110mm cassette box system can reach 3.5m in height. It’s worth looking at the Harmonia XL in a 135mm headbox primarily designed for sliding doors.
