TEST Shading Score

WINDOWTREAT · S.H.A.D.E.

Shading Score

Assess a room by wall plane. Enter each continuous wall plane once, choose its orientation, then add every window or door within that plane.

1. Living space

2. Wall glazing

Add each wall plane containing glazing. If the wall changes direction, add another wall plane and select the direction it faces.

3. Roof glazing

Enter the overall roof width and depth once. The roof area is calculated automatically. Then add each roof-glazing element separately; adding more roof glazing does not increase the roof area.

4. Existing glazing summary

Review the wall and roof glazing you have entered before calculating the base shading score.

5. Explore ways to improve your score

Select one or more measures for each glazed area.

Combination logic: each selected measure acts on the solar energy remaining after earlier measures, so additional layers still help but give progressively smaller gains.
